Jingjing Yuan joined the research group in April 2024 after completing her PhD at Tianjin University in China in early 2024. Her thesis research used marine mercury (Hg) stable isotope biogeochemistry studies to examine Hg fate in diverse deep-sea environments, including trenches, hydrothermal fluid systems, and cold seep ecosystems. She participated in the April 2024 cruise in the Gulf of Maine and will be working on the Sargasso Sea mercury project that has upcoming cruises from Bermuda, with the first in September 2o24.
