Yipeng started his PhD in the fall of 2017. Prior to this he was a student at Peking University in China. In early 2018, Yipeng has been working on the air-sea exchange of mercury and set up the equipment to measure mercury speciation in the atmosphere and to determine dissolved gaseous mercury at Avery Point, and a short cruise on Long Island Sound. He participate in a Geotraces cruise in the Pacific Ocean in Fall 2018 on the first leg from Seattle to Hawaii. On board, atmospheric Hg was measured as well as dissolved gaseous Hg, and also speciation for methylated Hg was also completed.
